Google’s Quick Share now works with Apple’s AirDrop, letting Pixel 10 devices share files with nearby Apple devices.
Google has launched compatibility between Android’s Quick Share and Apple’s AirDrop, allowing Pixel 10, 10 Pro, and 10 Pro Fold devices to send files to nearby iPhones, iPads, and Macs.
The feature works when AirDrop is set to "Everyone" or "Everyone for 10 Minutes," with transfers requiring manual acceptance and using secure, peer-to-peer connections built with the memory-safe Rust language.
While the integration enhances cross-platform sharing without relying on cloud services, it currently doesn’t support AirDrop’s "Contacts Only" mode, and some users report connectivity issues.
The move signals growing interoperability between Android and iOS ecosystems.
