A false imprisonment charge against Melodee Buzzard’s mother was dropped on Nov. 20, 2025, due to lack of evidence.
A false imprisonment charge against Ashlee Buzzard, mother of missing 9-year-old Melodee Buzzard, was dropped on November 20, 2025, after a judge found insufficient evidence.
The case stemmed from claims by Tyler Brewer, who said he felt trapped during a visit to Buzzard’s home.
Audio from the encounter contradicted Brewer’s statements to police and media, and the judge ruled there was no probable cause for the felony charge.
Buzzard, who is not charged in her daughter’s disappearance, remains under investigation but is no longer under electronic monitoring.
Melodee was last seen on October 9 near the Colorado-Utah border.
