MLB secures new three-year media deal with ESPN, NBC, and Netflix, effective 2025.
Major League Baseball has finalized a new three-year media rights deal with ESPN, NBC Universal, and Netflix, effective through 2028.
NBC will take over Sunday Night Baseball and broadcast the full wild-card round, paying about $200 million annually.
Netflix will pay $50 million per season and air the 2026 Field of Dreams game, the season-opening Yankees-Giants matchup, the Home Run Derby, and World Baseball Classic games.
ESPN, which exited its prior $1.65 billion agreement, will retain MLB.TV rights and stream 150 out-of-market games annually, along with in-market coverage for six teams.
Peacock will carry early Sunday games, replacing Roku, with the first NBC/Peacock game scheduled for March 26.
