flag The 2026 Kia K4 launches in Australia as a hatchback and sedan, replacing the Cerato, with improved fuel economy and safety, but no hybrid option.

The 2026 Kia K4 has launched in Australia as a hatchback and sedan, replacing the Cerato, with a new Atkinson-cycle 2.0-litre engine and CVT improving fuel economy to 6.0L/100km and lowering emissions to 139g/km, though power and torque are slightly reduced. Prices rose $800 to $1,500, but hatchback and sedan trims are priced the same. The hatchback is 270mm shorter than the sedan but shares its 2720mm wheelbase. The GT-Line retains its turbo 1.6-litre engine and eight-speed automatic. All models include a seven-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty. Safety features include AEB, junction crossing detection, and Highway Driving Assist 2 on higher trims. The sedan earned four or five ANCAP stars; the hatchback has not yet been tested. No hybrid version is available in Australia, though one is planned for Europe.
