Harlem rapper Max B, released after 18 years, confirms new music is underway in his first interview.
Max B, the Harlem rapper released from prison on November 9 after 18 years, has begun recording new music, confirming in his first interview since freedom that he’s already laid down multiple tracks.
Speaking with Billboard on November 18, he described the challenges of reacclimating to studio life, including the unfamiliarity of recording equipment.
He affirmed that new music is underway, stating the project is “ready” and that he’s “in the lab.” His release followed a 2016 plea deal reducing his sentence from 75 years to 20 for his role in a 2006 fatal robbery in Fort Lee, New Jersey.
