A Frederick County school bus driver was arrested for DUI after erratic driving; students were unharmed.
A Frederick County Public Schools bus driver was arrested Wednesday morning on a DUI charge after deputies responded to a report of erratic driving on Harry Byrd Highway.
The bus, carrying two students, was stopped on Baker Lane near Winchester around 7:30 a.m. All students were unharmed, and parents were notified.
The driver, a woman, was released on a summons and faces a Class 1 misdemeanor charge, which carries a minimum $250 fine and possible jail time.
