A 37-year-old Tasmanian woman, Samantha Ellen Bird, has pleaded not guilty to three counts of attempted murder after allegedly firing a .22 rifle at police officers during a search warrant operation in Collinsvale in October.
A single bullet struck an unmarked police vehicle’s wheel guard from about 60 meters away, but officers were unharmed.
Bird faces additional charges related to firearms, drugs, and explosives.
Another man, Derek Michael Crosswell, 38, has been charged with attempted aggravated assault and gun offenses and remains in custody.
Bird is set to stand trial in the Supreme Court in February.
