Sugarloaf Mountain in Maine opens for the 2025-26 season on Friday, marking its 75th anniversary with commemorative gifts for the first 75 guests and limited-edition rewards for skiers and riders who log 25, 50, and 75 days.
Improved early-season terrain, including beginner and intermediate runs, is accessible via the Double Runner B and Skyline lifts, with more trails possibly opening over the weekend.
The resort has upgraded snowmaking capacity from 3,000 to 6,400 gallons per minute using a new water line, expanded pumps, and 700 low-energy snow guns, with operations beginning in early November.
Lift enhancements, including the Skyline lift expansion, aim to improve guest flow.
