Starting Jan. 14, 2026, non-residents pay £15 to use Oxfordshire’s recycling centres with advance booking and proof of address.
Starting January 14, 2026, non-Oxfordshire residents will pay a £15 fee to use the county’s recycling centres, requiring advance online booking and proof of address.
The changes, approved November 18, 2025, aim to reduce taxpayer costs from out-of-county waste and prepare for the Redbridge centre’s temporary closure.
From winter 2027, hours will be 9am–5pm in summer and 9am–4pm in winter, with closures on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
Residents must sort recyclables on-site, and asbestos disposal will cost £5.50 per square metre.
While officials cite similar fees elsewhere and rising waste volumes, critics warn of increased fly-tipping.
The county has seven centres in Alkerton, Ardley, Stanton Harcourt, Drayton, Crowmarsh, Oxford, and Faringdon.
A partir del 14 de enero de 2026, los no residentes pagan £15 para usar los centros de reciclaje de Oxfordshire con reserva anticipada y prueba de dirección.
