The SBA approved disaster aid for Kentucky counties hit by the Nov. 4 UPS crash, enabling affected businesses to apply for recovery loans.
The U.S. Small Business Administration has approved a disaster declaration for Kentucky, allowing businesses in Bullitt, Hardin, Oldham, Shelby, and Spencer counties to apply for economic injury disaster loans following the Nov. 4 UPS plane crash in Louisville that killed 14 people.
The loans, aimed at helping businesses recover lost revenue and cover operating costs, are available to eligible firms impacted by the crash, with applications due by Aug. 17, 2026.
Governor Andy Beshear said the federal support is vital for community recovery, following a site survey that identified 57 damaged businesses.
