Pima County deputy Sergio Urias, 34, arrested for aggravated DUI after crashing into a police car with his wife and child, faces charges and a Dec. 8 hearing.
Pima County Sheriff’s Department deputy Sergio Reynaldo Lee Urias, 34, was arrested on Nov. 17 for aggravated DUI after crashing his truck into a parked Tucson Police vehicle, with a 6-year-old child and his wife in the car.
He allegedly admitted to drinking and using his phone before the crash, refused field sobriety tests, and was placed on paid leave during an internal investigation.
Urias, who has served six years with the department, faces charges of aggravated DUI and criminal damage.
His next court date is a preliminary hearing on Dec. 8.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department confirmed the arrest but provided no further details.
