HyProMag USA expands recycling deal with ILS to produce 750 tons of recycled magnets annually in Texas, creating jobs and boosting U.S. supply chain resilience.
HyProMag USA has expanded its feedstock agreement with electronics recycler ILS to source neodymium iron boron magnets from hard drives, electric motors, wind turbines, and other devices.
ILS is pre-processing and storing materials in South Carolina and Nevada for HyProMag’s new recycling plant in Fort Worth, Texas, where a joint team is accelerating the integration of Inserma’s third-generation HDD separation system, with equipment expected by December 2025.
The facility aims to produce 750 metric tons of recycled NdFeB magnets annually, create 90–100 skilled jobs, and achieve a low carbon footprint of 2.35 kg CO₂ eq.
per kg of product.
The project supports U.S. supply chain resilience and is exploring long-loop recycling and expansion into Nevada and South Carolina.
