FlyDubai orders 150 Airbus A321neos in major shift from Boeing, part of UAE’s airport expansion and fleet growth.
FlyDubai has announced a $24 billion order for 150 Airbus A321neo aircraft at the Dubai Air Show, marking its first major fleet shift away from Boeing and more than doubling its current fleet of 95 planes.
The memorandum of understanding includes options for 100 additional aircraft and supports Dubai’s expansion of a new five-runway airport.
The A321neo offers over 20% fuel savings and lower emissions.
This move follows separate orders by Emirates for 65 Boeing 777-9s and Etihad for 16 Airbus planes, reflecting broader growth and recovery across UAE carriers.
