Beijing firm HyperStrong wins German contract to build Europe’s largest battery project.
HyperStrong International, a Beijing-based company, has signed an EPC contract with Germany’s LEAG Clean Power to build a 1.6 GWh battery storage system in Boxberg, part of LEAG’s GigawattFactory initiative.
The project, using HyperStrong’s HyperBlock III technology with liquid cooling and intelligent management, will support grid stability and renewable integration.
As EPC contractor, HyperStrong will deliver a turnkey solution including design, construction, commissioning, and long-term operations.
The facility will be one of Europe’s largest battery storage projects, advancing Germany’s energy transition and supporting a secure, sustainable electricity system.
