Taiwan and Ukraine’s Vinnytsia city signed a memorandum to boost maternal and child healthcare via medical equipment, doctor training, and professional exchanges, part of Taiwan’s ongoing “Partnership for the Future” aid efforts since Russia’s invasion.
The agreement, finalized in a videoconference, follows two Ukrainian doctors completing training in Taiwan, with two more arriving for further collaboration.
The initiative supports Vinnytsia’s maternity center, serving 11,000 inpatients and 1,700 births yearly, amid wartime conditions.
Mayor Serhii Morhunov thanked Taiwan and invited Taiwan’s representative Jeff Liu to visit after the program ends.
