Fifteen pilot programs across Scotland, funded with £4 million, have launched to prevent homelessness by testing new legal duties under the Housing (Scotland) Act. Coordinated by Advice Direct Scotland, the initiatives involve over 70 organizations and target at-risk individuals—such as those leaving hospital, prison, or facing debt or relationship breakdowns—through early intervention and cross-sector collaboration. Running until 2026, the projects aim to integrate prevention into everyday services and inform future national housing policies.
