New Zealand’s National Infrastructure Pipeline has grown to nearly 12,000 projects worth $275 billion, up from $237 billion in June 2025, driven by better reporting, expanded data, and stronger funding commitments.
Of the total, $181 billion in projects are funded, with $61 billion under construction and $20 billion in planning or set to start within a year.
The update, based on submissions from 129 providers, supports economic growth, job creation, and improved planning across transport, water, health, education, and housing.
It will inform the final National Infrastructure Plan, helping identify unfunded priorities and system improvements, though challenges remain in regional coverage and data completeness.
