New international student enrollments in the U.S. fell 17% in fall 2025, the steepest drop since the pandemic, due to stricter visa policies and delays.

Al Otro Lado, a case over the Trump-era “metering” policy that let officials turn away asylum seekers waiting on the Mexican side of the border when ports were full.
