The show will explore fashion’s role as art by pairing around 200 garments with works from the museum’s collections, organized around themes like the "Naked Body," "Classical Body," "Pregnant Body," and "Aging Body."
It will debut in newly renovated 12,000-square-foot Condé M. Nast galleries near the Great Hall, designed to improve visitor experience and host future exhibitions.
The Met Gala itself will take place on May 4, 2026, with co-chairs and dress code details to be announced.
