A 54-year-old Wilmington man, Kevin Abron Wade, has been sentenced to 87 to 117 months in prison after pleading guilty to two robberies in July 2024. The first occurred at Bottega Art and Wine, where he demanded cash and a phone after his card was declined, threatening the bartender. Later that evening, he robbed a Walgreens using a nutcracker, poking a cashier before fleeing. Surveillance footage and a tip led to his arrest the next day during a traffic stop. Wade, a habitual felon with multiple prior convictions, was ordered to pay restitution to the victims.
