Honda resumes North American production after chip shortage eased, though risks remain.
Honda will gradually resume normal production at its North American plants starting Monday, ending temporary shutdowns and reduced output caused by a chip shortage from Nexperia.
The halt began October 27 in the U.S. and Canada and October 28 in Mexico.
Honda says it now has sufficient chip supply, including alternatives, though it didn’t confirm Nexperia’s return to shipments.
The automaker warns the situation remains uncertain and could change.
