Governor Pillen appoints two to fill Nebraska Liquor Control Commission seats, pending legislature approval.
Governor Jim Pillen has appointed Robert “Bud” Synhorst and James Elworth to fill vacant seats on Nebraska’s Liquor Control Commission, restoring the panel to full strength after two commissioners resigned in September.
Synhorst, from Lincoln, will represent the 1st District through May 2029, and Elworth, from Nebraska City, will serve the 3rd District until May 2027.
Both appointments are pending confirmation by the Nebraska Legislature.
The commission now includes one member from each congressional district, with Michael Coffey representing the 2nd District since June 2025.
