The "Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle" film has become the first Japanese movie to surpass ¥100 billion ($644 million) in global box office revenue, breaking records and outperforming major Hollywood releases.
The film, part of a planned trilogy, continues the story of Tanjiro Kamado and the Demon Slayer Corps in their final battle against Muzan Kibutsuji, earning over $168 million worldwide.
It has drawn 89.17 million international viewers, become the second-highest-grossing film in Japan, and highlighted the rising global appeal of anime cinema.
The franchise, based on Koyoharu Gotouge’s manga and animated by Ufotable, features the original voice cast and remains in theaters, with two follow-up films confirmed.
