China's auto exports rose 15.7% year-on-year through October 2025, reaching over 5.6 million vehicles, fueled by a 90.4% surge in new energy vehicle (NEV) exports totaling 2.01 million units.
In October alone, overall exports jumped 22.9%, with NEV exports soaring 99.9% to 256,000 units.
Passenger vehicle exports reached 571,000 units, up 22.8%, while commercial vehicle exports rose 23.5%.
Traditional internal combustion engine vehicle exports declined slightly, down 0.9% in October and 5.1% for the year.
The growth reflects China's shift toward electrification, with NEVs now making up a major share of exports and sales.
