Romario Gordon, 22, sentenced to 13 years for 2021 machete murder of 16-year-old Camron Smith in Croydon.
Romario Gordon, 22, was sentenced to 13 years in prison for the 2021 manslaughter of 16-year-old Camron Smith, fatally stabbed in his mother’s bedroom during a revenge attack in Croydon, south London.
Gordon, then 17, was part of a group that hijacked a minicab and carried machetes in a premeditated assault linked to a prior stabbing.
Surveillance footage showed him fleeing and discarding a machete.
He later left the UK but returned voluntarily.
The Old Bailey heard the attack was planned, with the group forcing entry into the home and killing Camron in front of his mother, Audrey Johnson, who described the trauma as life-altering.
Gordon was the fourth person convicted in the case; others received sentences from eight to life.
He had previously been cleared of a separate 2020 stabbing.
Authorities called the investigation complex and said the sentencing offers some closure to the family.
