A new aviation safety manual standardizes procedures for business flights, to be adopted in 2026.
The National Business Aviation Association, along with FlightSafety International and CAE, has released a new Airplane Standard Operating Procedures manual to standardize safety practices across business aviation.
Developed over years with input from operators, manufacturers, and trainers, the manual establishes consistent procedures for single- and multi-pilot operations to improve safety, training, and data collection.
It will be incorporated into training programs starting in summer 2026, giving operators time to adapt.
The NBAA will update the manual based on industry feedback, ensuring it evolves with emerging practices.
