Bihar's HAM(S) won 5 seats in 2025 elections but got only 6 NDA slots, citing unfair allocation despite alliance loyalty.
Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi said the NDA allocated only six seats to his Hindustan Awami Morcha (Secular) in Bihar’s 2025 Assembly elections, calling it "miserliness," despite his party winning five of those seats and receiving about 1% of the vote.
He noted that HAM(S), though registered for 10 years, remains unrecognised by the Election Commission, missing the 6% vote threshold or seat requirement for recognition, which limits access to key benefits like ECI meetings and free voter lists.
Despite the limited allocation, Manjhi said his party did not protest due to alliance discipline.
The NDA won 202 of 243 seats, its second time surpassing 200 seats since 2010, and the new government is set to be sworn in on November 20, with a cabinet expected to include ministers from BJP, JD(U), LJP(Ram Vilas), HAM(S), and Rashtriya Lok Morcha.
El HAM (S) de Bihar ganó 5 escaños en las elecciones de 2025, pero solo obtuvo 6 escaños del NDA, alegando una asignación injusta a pesar de la lealtad a la alianza.
