Qatar Airways now offers free, high-speed in-flight internet on over 100 widebody planes, making it the world’s largest Starlink-equipped airline.
Qatar Airways has become the world’s largest operator of Starlink-equipped widebody aircraft, with over 100 planes now connected, delivering free, high-speed in-flight internet on more than half its widebody fleet.
The airline, named World’s Best Airline by Skytrax for nine consecutive years, completed the rollout on its Boeing 777s and is rapidly integrating the service into its Airbus A350s.
Since launching in October 2024, it has completed over 30,000 flights across six continents, offering gate-to-gate connectivity on up to 200 daily flights to over 170 global destinations.
The service, available on most routes to the Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, and the Middle East, enables streaming, gaming, and work at 35,000 feet.
As the only carrier in the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia-Pacific with Starlink, Qatar Airways has accelerated its rollout to deliver immediate benefits, though gate-to-gate access may be limited at certain airports due to local regulations.
