Kenya launches 2025 World AIDS Day Half Marathon to fight HIV among youth and advance AIDS elimination goals.
Kenya has opened registration for the 2025 World AIDS Day Half Marathon in Nairobi, scheduled for November 30, 2025, under the theme “One Race; One Goal.” The event, organized by the Ministry of Health, aims to reduce new HIV infections—especially among youth aged 15 to 24—promote treatment adherence, and address social drivers like teenage pregnancy and gender-based violence.
Officials emphasize the race as a national effort to end AIDS-related deaths by 2030 and ensure continuous access to antiretroviral therapy and health services.
The marathon seeks broad participation to raise awareness and sustain momentum toward an AIDS-free generation.
