Food insecurity in Israel fell slightly in 2024 but remains high, especially among Palestinians and low-income families.
A 2024 report by Israel’s National Insurance Institute found that 27.1% of Israeli households—about 968,000—experienced food insecurity, down slightly from 30.8% in 2023, affecting roughly 2.8 million people including over one million children.
