A 68-year-old deli owner in Chicago’s Edison Park was confronted at gunpoint Saturday morning, November 15, 2025, after arriving at Tony’s Italian Deli & Subs around 5:21 a.m.
He encountered three suspects breaking in, including shattering the front door, stealing a cash register and safe, and brandishing a firearm before fleeing in a dark sedan.
Surveillance footage captured the incident, which resulted in no injuries.
The deli remained open, drawing community support, while police continue investigating and seek public help identifying suspects.
No arrests have been made.
