Watertown International Airport in New York opened its new $32.3 million terminal on November 14, 2025, featuring a jet bridge, baggage conveyor, expanded seating with USB ports, and improved baggage claim areas.
Funded by state, federal, and county sources, the upgrade replaces the old terminal, which will become a restaurant and meeting space.
The airport, which served about 4,000 passengers annually since 2006, expects over 50,000 travelers next year.
The project supports regional economic growth, military travel from Fort Drum, and tourism, part of a $230 million state revitalization effort for upstate airports.
