UW-Green Bay launches $1M STEM scholarship fund from alumnus, honoring founding faculty.
UW-Green Bay has launched a $1 million scholarship initiative, one of its largest gifts ever, to support STEM students. Funded by alumnus Dr. Paul J. Schilling ’82, the four-year, renewable $5,000 scholarships honor founding faculty member Dr. Charles “Chuck” Ihrke. Open to U.S. citizens or nationals majoring in STEM fields like biology, chemistry, engineering, computer science, and mathematics, applicants must maintain a 3.3 GPA and demonstrate financial need, with preference given to first-generation students. Applications are due by February 15, 2026, for the first awards in Fall 2026.
