Ukrainian drones struck the Novovoronezh nuclear power plant in Russia, damaging switchgear and temporarily disrupting three reactors, according to Rosatom chief Alexey Likhachev, who said eight drones were shot down.
The plant was restored by Friday morning, and Russia reported the incident to the IAEA.
The attack occurred during a visit by IAEA chief Rafael Grossi to discuss nuclear safety at the Zaporizhzhia plant, which Russia controls.
Ukraine has not claimed responsibility.
On the same day, Russia launched a large-scale drone and missile assault on Ukraine, killing eight people and damaging homes, schools, and hospitals.
