flag Two families funded Shelby’s holiday decorations, leading to a parade, tree lighting, and fireworks on November 30.

This Christmas season, downtown Shelby is celebrating with new holiday decorations funded by two local families. The Curry family honored their parents with a 24-foot tree at Black Fork Commons Plaza, a second tree at the bandstand decorated by the Shelby Flower Girls, and a large wreath. Paul and Carolyn Armstrong added two nine-foot nutcrackers at the plaza entrance. The project, supported by local organizations, culminates in the Christmas in the City parade on November 30 at 6 p.m., followed by a tree lighting and fireworks at 6:30 p.m.
