On Nov. 15, 2025, India’s top diplomat Arun Chatterjee welcomed new envoys and bid farewell to departing diplomats in New Delhi.
On November 15, 2025, Arun Kumar Chatterjee, India’s Secretary for Consular, Passport, and Visa and Overseas Indian Affairs, attended a New Delhi ceremony hosted by the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps to welcome new envoys and farewell departing diplomats.
The event, highlighted by MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, emphasized diplomatic cooperation and dialogue.
Chatterjee, a 1992 batch Indian Foreign Service officer, has served as ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, held senior roles in the MEA including Chief Vigilance Officer, and worked in Seoul, Geneva, and Almaty.
He holds a Master’s in Commerce, is fluent in Kazakh, Russian, and French, and previously worked in the steel industry.
