LifeLine Animal Project in metro Atlanta is offering free pet adoptions starting Black Friday, November 28, 2025, to help reduce overcrowding at the region’s open-intake shelters, which receive about 18,000 animals annually.
Adopters must be 18 or older, provide ID, and complete a questionnaire; online pet searches are available, but in-person visits are encouraged.
Fees are waived for senior pets and dogs sheltered over 100 days.
The organization, Georgia’s largest animal welfare group, supports foster care, trial adoptions up to 30 days, and provides veterinary care and supplies.
