China's Shenzhou-21 returns 46.67 kg of space station experiment samples for study.
On November 15, 2025, China’s Shenzhou-21 mission successfully returned 46.67 kilograms of scientific samples from 26 experiments conducted aboard its space station, marking the ninth material transfer.
The payload included biological specimens like mice, zebrafish, and brain organoids, as well as materials science and combustion experiment samples.
Researchers will analyze the samples to study microgravity’s effects on physiology and genetics, material formation, and nanomaterial production, with potential applications in space medicine, solar cells, radiation-resistant materials, and lunar infrastructure.
