A 19-year-old French engineering student, Oscar Delaite, set a new world record by riding a bicycle in a continuous wheelie for 93 miles over six hours and 31 minutes on an indoor track in Vittel. The feat, verified by Guinness World Records in September, surpassed the previous record by more than 43 miles. Delaite, who trained 10 to 15 hours weekly for over a year, cited enjoyment as his motivation despite experiencing significant discomfort afterward. He already holds other wheelie records, including the longest one-handed wheelie and longest continuous wheelie without front wheel contact.
