Thirteen companies, including a majority of MSMEs, applied for India’s fourth round of the PLI Scheme for White Goods, committing ₹1,914 crore in investment from September 15 to November 10, 2025. Nine applicants pledged ₹1,816 crore for air conditioner components like compressors and heat exchangers, while four plan ₹98 crore for LED parts such as chips and drivers. Projects span six states and 23 locations. Since its 2021 launch, the scheme has attracted ₹10,335 crore in investment from 80 beneficiaries, aiming to boost domestic value addition from 15–20% to 75–80%, with projected production of ₹1.72 lakh crore and 60,000 jobs.
