A recent Resolve Political Monitor poll shows Prince Andrew is the least liked member of the British royal family in Australia, with a net likeability score of minus 46 points, just behind Vladimir Putin. Public disapproval is widespread, especially among those over 55. While King Charles III’s handling of the scandal has boosted his popularity to a record high, support for an Australian republic has risen to 43%, the highest level ever recorded, down from a 2022 low of 36%. Opposition has dropped to 25% in November 2025. Despite Prime Minister Anthony Albanese eliminating the assistant minister for the republic role in 2024, republican sentiment continues to grow, reflecting a complex public response to the monarchy’s recent controversies.
