Megadeth has released "I Don't Care," the first single from their self-titled farewell album due January 23, 2026.
The punk-influenced track features defiant lyrics about autonomy and resistance, including lines like “I don’t care if I’m out of line” and “you can kiss my ass.” It follows “Tipping Point” as the second track unveiled from the final studio album, confirmed by frontman Dave Mustaine as the band’s last.
The release was preceded by social media teasers showing a skateboarder and a rebellious version of Vic Rattlehead.
Mustaine cited gratitude for the band’s global impact and announced plans for a worldwide farewell tour.
The album is available for pre-order on Megadeth’s official website.
