Connors, a disqualified driver with 120 prior convictions, ran a red light while under the influence of cannabis, struck Forde as he lawfully crossed Ennis Road, and fled the scene.
Dash cam footage showed Connors failed to stop at a stop sign, drove the wrong way, and did not brake before hitting Forde, who died from a traumatic brain injury.
Forde’s sister said Connors left her brother “to die like a dog.” Connors pleaded guilty to dangerous driving causing death and other charges, expressing remorse and wishing he had died instead.
The judge adjourned sentencing to 2026.
