China’s Shenzhou-20 mission concluded successfully as astronauts Chen Dong, Chen Zhongrui, and Wang Jie exited their return capsule in Jiuquan after 204 days in orbit.
Chen Dong, the mission commander, became the first Chinese astronaut to accumulate over 400 days in space.
All crew members were reported in good health.
The return followed the separation of the Shenzhou-21 spacecraft’s propulsion capsule, a key step in the descent sequence, confirming China’s continued progress in long-duration human spaceflight and its Tiangong space station program.
