The pickup driver, Sherwood Jordan, was partially ejected and not wearing a seatbelt.
His passenger, Mitzie Naples, and three occupants of the RAV4, including 16-year-old driver Howie Wu, were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Emergency crews responded around 8:13 a.m., closing the road for two to three hours.
The Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating, with no further details released.
