A 12-year-old girl was hospitalized after being hit by a car while crossing a Michigan street.
A 12-year-old Hudsonville girl was hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries Wednesday afternoon after being struck by a westbound Ford Explorer while crossing Greenly Street near Jamesfield Drive in Jamestown Township, Michigan.
The incident occurred around 3:15 p.m., and the girl, who did not see the vehicle, was taken to Helen DeVos Children's Hospital.
The 35-year-old Grandville woman driving the SUV was unharmed and remained at the scene.
Greenly Street was closed for investigation until about 5 p.m. No further details were released.
