ReNew Energy to invest $9.3B in Andhra Pradesh’s renewables, including solar, wind, hydrogen, and storage.
ReNew Energy Global plans to invest ₹82,000 crore (~$9.3 billion) in Andhra Pradesh, marking its return to the state after a five-year absence.
The investment will span the full renewable energy value chain, including solar ingot and wafer manufacturing, hybrid projects, green ammonia, and green hydrogen.
It includes a 6 GW solar plant, 2 GW pumped hydro, and 5 GW of wind-solar-battery projects, supporting Andhra Pradesh’s goal of 78.5 GW solar and 35 GW wind capacity.
The move, announced ahead of the Vizag Summit, reflects renewed confidence in the state’s investment climate under Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
