Jessica Motes charged in connection with the death of 4-year-old Autumn Fox, found in her car trunk.
Jessica Motes, 36, of Gainesville, Georgia, has been charged with malice murder, felony murder, aggravated battery, and cruelty to children in the first degree after the body of 4-year-old Autumn Fox was found in the trunk of her car in Oakwood.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation announced the new charges following a joint investigation by Oakwood Police and Hall County Sheriff’s Office, which began on October 26.
Motes, previously charged with concealing a death, told her father she had hurt the child and believed she was dead before he drove her away from the scene.
The cause of death and the nature of the relationship between Motes and Fox have not been disclosed.
Motes remains in Hall County jail without bond, and the case is under active investigation.
