Jammu and Kashmir police seized a Srinagar home linked to former bar association president Mian Abdul Qayoom, accused in a 2009 murder and terrorism charges.

Jammu and Kashmir police have attached a residential property owned by Mian Abdul Qayoom, former president of the Kashmir Bar Association, under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. The Srinagar home, seized on November 12, 2025, was linked to alleged terrorist activities and used to conceal evidence, according to authorities. The action stems from FIR No. 157/2009 related to the murder of advocate Babar Qadri and charges including conspiracy and waging war against the state. Qayoom, currently in custody, faces serious criminal charges, and the property is classified as "proceeds of terrorism" under the UAPA.
