Hundreds of NordicTrack rowing machines sold in Canada are being recalled due to a fire hazard involving the screen console, which may overheat and ignite. The recall affects models NTRW19147.0 through NTRW19147.3 sold between November 2018 and April 2022, with about 700 units in Canada and nearly 45,000 in the U.S. No injuries have been reported in Canada, but eight incidents involving fire, smoke, or melting occurred in the U.S., causing at least $6,000 in property damage. Consumers are advised to stop using the machines, unplug them, and contact iFIT for a free replacement console.
